Foodie events at Grand River Grocery/Thornapple Daily Grill

Grand River Grocery and The Thornapple Daily Grill are hosting a Michigan wine dinner, which will include special guests David and Margaret Bell of Circa Winery. Chef Ed Werner will be pairing the evening’s courses with the Bell’s award winning wines from the Leelanau Peninsula. The dinner is part of Grand River Grocery and The Daily Grill’s live and local events on Thursday, Sept. 10 and Friday, Sept. 11.

The dinner at The Thornapple Daily Grill, 445 Ada Dr. SE, is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 and will include a taste of “everything Michigan” with proceeds of the event helping Local First. On Friday, Sept. 11, Grand River Grocery will  devote a day to celebrating Michigan products with demonstrations and tastings by local and Michigan food producers. Special guests will include: Representatives from Great Lakes Tea and Spice Company, Treasured Thyme Dips, Mudlake Farm, Rowster Coffee, Farm Country Cheese, and award winning cheesmaker Barbara Jenness from Dancing Goat Creamery to name a few. The event will run from noon until 5 p.m.
