‘King of Cabernet’ coming to Bar Divani

Bar Divani is hosting “The King of Cabernet,” legendary winemaker and owner, Nils Venge, Thursday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m.  Venge has been making stellar Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley every since he established Saddleback Cellars in 1982. Saddleback Cellars is a small winery located in Oakville, in the heart of the Napa Valley with just 14.8 total acres. Nils is the first winemaker in California to get 100 points from Robert Parker for his 1985 Groth, Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve.

Kirk Venge, owner and winemaker of Venge Vineyards, learned his trade from his father while growing up in the winery. Venge Vineyards is nestled at the base of the Palisades Mountains in the northern end of California’s prized wine region. It is set back in the gentle curve of oak studded hills on 12 1/2 acres of premium Cabernet Sauvignon planted in 1990, surrounded by some of the valleys most prestigious vineyards.
